Del Ponte created a true “total design” in 1970, for the penthouse apartment owned by the Medolago family. The home was transformed into an open space, enriched by a remarkable job of interior design through pieces of furniture, such as a table by Sottsass, sofas and chairs by De Pas-D’Urbino-Lomazzi, and Memphis lighting. The furnishing included felt flooring, plastic-laminate doors, black rubber baseboards and window-frames. A review on “Domus” observed how “[Del Ponte] draws with light, creating a space-movement”, referring to the neon tube that runs along the walls.
