The marble and bronze blocks are the start of a research that breaks the static nature of the form and initiates the internal and deep structures of matter. The sketches, which are works done in themselves, show precisely the fragmentation of formal uniqueness. If we examine the sketch of Black marble of Belgium, we see that it is the result of the meeting of two forms that do not fit perfectly, giving rise to a gap, a bending, a wide recess, which gives it an unusual gait of movement, while also suggesting an unfinished and faceless inside, opens up a space of emptiness.
